Use customer search to quickly find a customer record before viewing history, editing details, sending a review request, checking consent, or following up after feedback.

Step 1: Open Customers

From the UpBlick sidebar, select Customers. The Customers page shows customer totals, status filters, search, and the customer list for the selected location.

Step 2: Check the selected location

If your business has multiple locations, use the location selector to choose the branch where the customer belongs. Customer records, review requests, and activity may be tied to a specific location.

Step 3: Enter a search term

Use the search field to look for the customer. You can search using details such as:

  • Customer name.
  • Mobile number.
  • WhatsApp number.
  • Email address.
  • Part of a known contact detail.
  • Tag or other searchable customer information when available.

Step 4: Use status filters

Use the available customer status filters to narrow the list. For example, you may filter customers by active or inactive status, or by review-related status such as reviewed, requested, or not reviewed when those filters are available.

Step 5: Open the customer record

After you find the customer, select the customer name or the available action to open the customer details page. From there, you can view history, check activity, review feedback, or update customer information.

What to do after finding a customer

  • Open the customer history to review past interactions.
  • Edit incorrect contact information before sending messages.
  • Check consent status before contacting the customer.
  • Send or resend a review request when appropriate.
  • Add or update tags to organize the customer for future campaigns.

Search tips

  • Search with fewer characters if the full name does not return results.
  • Try phone number search without spaces, dashes, or country-code symbols.
  • Try email search using only the username or domain if needed.
  • Clear active filters when the list looks too narrow.
  • Check another business location if the customer visited a different branch.
  • Search before adding a new customer to avoid duplicate records.

Troubleshooting

Check the selected location, clear filters, and try another search detail such as phone number, WhatsApp number, or email address. The customer may also be saved under another branch.

Add more specific text, such as the full name, email domain, or phone number. Use status filters to narrow the customer list further.

Open each record and compare contact details, location, consent, and activity. Keep the most accurate record updated, and avoid sending duplicate review requests.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search customers by phone number?

Yes. Search using the customer’s mobile or WhatsApp number. If no results appear, try removing spaces, dashes, or special characters.

Why do I not see a customer from another branch?

The customer may be saved under a different business location. Change the selected location and search again.

Can I search before adding a new customer?

Yes. Searching first is recommended because it helps prevent duplicate customer records.
