How to Schedule a WhatsApp Campaign
WhatsApp & MessagingSchedule a WhatsApp campaign in UpBlick when you want the message to go out later instead of immediately. Scheduling is useful when you want to reach customers at a better time, align the campaign with a promotion, or give your team time to review everything before launch.
Before you schedule
- Choose the correct campaign template.
- Fill in the campaign name and message content.
- Select the right audience.
- Check the recipient count.
- Review the message preview.
Step 1: Open the campaign send screen
- Open Campaigns > WhatsApp.
- Select the template you want to use.
- Select Send Campaign.
This opens the form where you can either send the message now or schedule it for later.
Step 2: Complete the campaign details
On the Send WhatsApp Campaign screen, complete the campaign setup before thinking about timing:
- Add the campaign name.
- Select the audience.
- Upload the header image if the template requires one.
- Write the custom message line or lines.
- Check the right-hand preview.
Step 3: Select the schedule option
In the Sending Option section, choose Schedule instead of Send Now.
Once you do that, continue with the scheduling controls available in your account to choose when the campaign should be sent.
Step 4: Set the send time carefully
When choosing the schedule time, keep these points in mind:
- Use a time that makes sense for your customers.
- Match the time to the business location you selected.
- Avoid scheduling before final review is complete.
- Make sure the timing still fits the campaign purpose, such as an offer or update.
Step 5: Review everything before confirming
Before saving or confirming the scheduled campaign, verify:
- The campaign name is correct.
- The audience is correct.
- The preview matches what you want customers to receive.
- The scheduled time is correct for the selected location.
When scheduling is useful
- When you want to send during business hours
- When the campaign is tied to an offer or event
- When your team needs time for a final review
- When you do not want the campaign to begin immediately after setup
Best practices
- Schedule only after the audience is final.
- Use clear campaign names so scheduled sends are easy to identify later.
- Review the preview one last time before confirming.
- Be careful with location-specific timing if your business has multiple branches.
Troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
Can I schedule instead of sending right away?
Yes. On the campaign form, switch the sending option from Send Now to Schedule and then choose the later send time available in your account.
Should I finish the message before scheduling it?
Yes. It is best to finalize the campaign name, audience, image, and message preview before confirming the schedule.
Why should I double-check the location before scheduling?
Because the selected location affects the audience and the timing context for the campaign.
