How to Create Your First Campaign?
Campaigns & MarketingYour first campaign in UpBlick should be simple: choose one purpose, select the right template, pick an eligible audience, review the message preview, and then send or schedule it.
This guide explains the basic campaign creation flow for WhatsApp campaigns in UpBlick.
Before you start
- Select the correct business location.
- Make sure the messaging channel is connected for that location.
- Decide the campaign purpose, such as an update, offer, or general message.
- Prepare any image or short message text you want to include.
- Check that your customer list has valid contact details and consent.
Step 1: Open campaign templates
- Open Campaigns from the sidebar.
- Select the available campaign channel, such as WhatsApp.
- Review the campaign templates shown on the page.
- Use the All, Image, and Text filters if needed.
- Choose the template that best matches your message.
Step 2: Select a campaign template
Each template is designed for a specific type of communication. For your first campaign, choose a template that is easy to understand and closely matches your goal.
- Use Custom Message for a general customer update.
- Use Discount Message for an offer or promotion.
- Use Update Message for a business announcement or service update.
Select Send Campaign on the template you want to use.
Step 3: Fill in campaign details
After you choose a template, UpBlick opens the campaign form. Complete the required fields carefully:
- Enter a clear Campaign Name for internal tracking.
- Select the Audience that should receive the message.
- Upload a Header Image if the template uses one.
- Enter your message text in the available message fields.
- Watch the preview on the right side as you make changes.
Step 4: Review the audience and preview
Before sending your first campaign, check the preview and selected audience carefully. Confirm that:
- The campaign name is easy to recognize later.
- The selected audience is correct.
- The recipient count looks reasonable.
- The image, message text, and business name are accurate.
- The selected location is correct.
Step 5: Send now or schedule later
Choose the sending option that fits your plan:
- Send Now: Starts the campaign immediately after confirmation.
- Schedule: Lets you choose a later date and time when scheduling is available.
If this is your first campaign, scheduling can be useful because it gives your team time to review the message and timing before it goes out.
Step 6: Check the campaign report
After the campaign is sent, open the campaign reports area to review its status and performance. You may see details such as messages sent, delivered, opened, failed, or clicked, depending on the campaign and channel.
Best practices for your first campaign
- Start with a small, relevant audience.
- Keep the message short and clear.
- Use one campaign for one purpose.
- Avoid sending too many messages in a short time.
- Review consent before sending promotional communication.
- Check the report after sending so you understand what happened.
Frequently asked questions
Which campaign type should I choose first?
Choose the campaign type that most closely matches your goal. For a simple first campaign, a custom message or update message is usually easiest to review.
Can I send my first campaign immediately?
Yes, if the template, audience, message, consent, and preview are all correct. Otherwise, schedule it for later after review.
Can I change the campaign after sending?
Once a campaign has been sent, the sent message cannot usually be changed for recipients who already received it. Review everything before confirming.
How do I know whether the campaign worked?
Open the campaign report to review delivery and engagement details available for that campaign.
