How to Create a WhatsApp Campaign
WhatsApp & MessagingCreate a WhatsApp campaign in UpBlick when you want to send the same approved marketing message to a selected audience from one business location. You start by choosing a campaign template, then fill in the campaign details and preview the final message before sending.
Before you start
- Select the correct business location.
- Make sure WhatsApp is connected for that location.
- Use a campaign template that matches the type of message you want to send.
- Send only to customers who have agreed to receive WhatsApp communication.
- Prepare any header image or message copy you want to include.
Step 1: Open the WhatsApp campaign templates
- Open Campaigns from the sidebar.
- Select WhatsApp.
- Review the available campaign templates.
- Use the All, Image, and Text tabs to narrow the list.
- Use the language menu if you want to switch template language.
This page helps you choose the campaign format before you move into the send flow.
Step 2: Choose the template you want to use
Review each available template card carefully. In the campaign template list, you can usually compare:
- The template name
- The language
- Whether the template is image-based or text-based
- The general message structure shown in the preview
Select Send Campaign on the template you want to use.
Step 3: Fill in the campaign details
After choosing a template, UpBlick opens the campaign form. On this screen, fill in the required details:
- Enter a clear Campaign Name.
- Select the Audience.
- Upload a Header Image if the template uses one.
- Add your custom message text, such as Message Line 1.
- Review the right-hand preview before sending.
Step 4: Review the preview before sending
The message preview is important because it shows what the customer experience should look like. Check that:
- The campaign name is correct for internal tracking.
- The audience matches the customer group you intend to contact.
- The header image looks right.
- The custom message text reads clearly.
- The selected location is still correct.
Step 5: Choose whether to send now or schedule later
On the campaign form, choose the sending option that fits your plan:
- Send Now if you want the campaign to start immediately.
- Schedule if you want to choose a later time.
If you choose to schedule it, finish the timing setup before confirming the campaign.
Best practices
- Use a campaign name your team can understand later.
- Keep the custom message short and easy to read on mobile.
- Use an image only when it supports the message clearly.
- Preview the message before every send, even when using a familiar template.
- Double-check the audience and consent status before launching the campaign.
Troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
Can I preview the campaign before sending it?
Yes. UpBlick shows a live message preview on the campaign form so you can review the final message before sending or scheduling it.
Can I create a campaign without an image?
Yes, if you choose a text-based template. Use the template tabs to select the format that fits your message.
Should I send the campaign immediately?
Only if the audience, template, and content are all ready. If not, use the schedule option so you can send it at a better time.
